At Cherry Tree Academy, we are committed to promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles for all pupils. The Primary PE and Sport Premium funding plays a vital role in enhancing the quality and breadth of our PE provision and increasing opportunities for children to engage in regular physical activity.
The funding is used to support high-quality teaching and learning in PE, broaden the range of sports and activities offered, and increase participation both during and beyond the school day through extra-curricular clubs and enrichment opportunities. These experiences help pupils to develop physical skills, confidence, teamwork, and a positive attitude towards sport and physical activity.
We regularly review and evaluate the impact of the Sports Premium funding to ensure it meets the needs of all pupils, including those who are disadvantaged. This ongoing review enables us to raise the profile of PE and sport across the school, embed sustainable improvements in provision, and support pupils in developing a lifelong love of physical activity.
